Check whether the still fits the action
Suppose your character is an adult cartographer beside a wall map. If you want a glance toward the map, the map needs to be part of the composition. If only the face is visible, choose a smaller action rather than expecting the video to reveal an entire room you never established.
Check the face and any object involved before animating. If a hand or prop already looks wrong, reconsider the still; generating movement is not a dependable way to repair its existing problems.
Move from the still to a motion request
Switch the generator to video and choose an existing character or image to animate. Use the picture you already created as the starting point for the movement.
- Choose the character image you want to use as the starting material.
- Select video generation and the existing-image animation route.
- Describe one main action, including what should remain unchanged.
- Review whichever output options are actually offered and confirm the displayed token charge.
- Submit only when ready, then inspect any completed clip before deciding on a further request.
Give the motion a purpose
For the map-room example, try: The adult cartographer turns her attention toward the wall map while remaining beside the cabinet. Keep the blue coat and the same room, with steady framing. This asks for an observable action without adding new characters, a different outfit and a location change at the same time.
If the result misses the idea, identify the problem. Did the character turn the wrong way, or did an object change? We recommend naming that mismatch before paying for another attempt. A longer list of unrelated instructions will not clarify what you wanted to correct.
Allow for a separate video cost
Video generation is listed at 20 tokens; a new source image is a separate 2-token request. Review the charge before proceeding. Do not assume automatic refunds for an unsuccessful attempt or endless animations with a message subscription.
Questions
Can I use an image I already created in DarLink?
Yes, you can start from an existing character or image. Select that source rather than trying to rebuild its whole appearance through a new description.
Can I animate an image from outside DarLink?
Check the upload controls and file rules available in your account before importing an outside image. You can start with a fictional character image created in DarLink without assuming that other files are accepted.
Will the character stay identical throughout the video?
Do not count on perfect identity or object consistency. Compare the whole clip with your starting image and decide whether any changes make it unsuitable for your intended scene.
Can I use another person's likeness for an intimate edit?
Keep this workflow to your own fictional adult characters. Do not use private photographs or someone else's recognizable likeness for intimate, deceptive or non-consensual alterations.
Does animating an image automatically add speech?
Do not assume a soundtrack, spoken dialogue or lip synchronization. A motion request and an available character voice do not, by themselves, establish audio in the generated video.
